Given lists are in and the event is this weekend I thought I’d post my
Tauranga Open list. 6 games of balls out
– no comp warhammer with scenarios and mysterious terrain plus drinking and
shenanigans. I the last even in
September when I was down and John W won the event before that so we are going
back for hopefully another Auckland sweep.
A fairly standard Ogre list for me really with a couple of tweaks. The
Runemaw is in due to Dwellers etc. uncomped and the proliferation of Death
Magic I’m expecting. I’ve also gone for
the 6 scouting maneaters and two gorgers to really put pressure on people early
and get to bunkers, war machines etc.
They more often than not give up their points but the havoc they can
create is well worth it.
Looking forward to the event and anyone who hasn’t made one of these is
really missing out.

ReplyDeleteHow do you find the gorgers? I've heard theyre along the lines of Yetis, left at home?
ReplyDeleteThey are possibly not what the internet will tell you is optimum but I have found a real use for them. With the scouting man-eaters in combo they really force people into make difficult decisions and they have won me a couple of practice games purely on the threat of them more than anything. For the points you can get another two mournfang and change or another fun blaster if the comp allows so certainly not for everyone but they add something to my list. I will give a better breakdown after they have gone through 6 tournament games at TBM
